Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day. Having a nutritious and yummy breakfast can set your mood for the rest of the day and promotes weight maintenance. So wake up, sleepy head. Let’s start our day right with these appetizing Pinoy breakfasts.
1. Coffee and Pandesal
Pandesal is one of our fave breakfast foods. You can fill it with eggs, cheese, or butter. But the best way to eat it? Dipping it in a hot coffee.
2. Silog Meals
Tapsilog, tocilog, hotsilog, longsilog, and all the silogs. Our favorite sinangag or fried rice (usually left over rice) paired with meat such as tapa, tocino, longganisa, topped with a sunny side up egg… This will surely wake up your senses.
Tuyo (salted dried fish) + eggs + sinangag + tomatoes or vinegar + hot coffee = satisfaction
4. Danggit and Dilis
These two crunchy fishes are perfect with vinegar. Extra rice, please.
SWEET CHOCOLATE RICE PORRIDGE. With evaporated milk on top. With tuyo. Yum.
6. Carabao’s Milk
Yup, fresh carabao’s milk. Nutritious and delicious. It is best paired with plain rice and tuyo.
7. Puto at Kutsinta
This duo are not just perfect for breakfast, but as a dessert as well.
Idk why, but these sticky rice cakes bring back childhood memories. Is it just me?
