Why isn’t this shocking at all?
Based on a report, an internet monitoring firm Akamai recently stated that the Philippines has the slowest internet speed in the world at 4.5 Mbps during the fourth quarter of 2016. India is a little ahead of our country at 5.6 Mbps.
South Korea has the fastest average internet connection at 26.1 Mbps, beating Norway, Sweden and Hong Kong with speeds up to 23.6 Mbps, 22.8 Mbps, and 21.9 Mbps, respectively. South Korea’s internet connection speed is actually four times faster that the world average of 7.0 Mbps. And our country’s internet connection speed is below the world average.
Here’s a kinda shocking news. The United States, the country that invented the internet, did not even make it to the top 10 as it ranked 14 globally with an average internet speed of 17.2 Mbps.
