Clark International Airport, Davao International Airport, Iloilo International Airport, and Mactan-Cebu International Airport are included in the online travel website The Guide to Sleeping in Airports‘ top 30 best airports in Asia for 2016, according to a report from Rappler.
The website ranked Iloilo International Airport No. 12
The Mactan-Cebu International Airport at No. 14.
The Clark International Airport ranked 15.
The Davao International Airport ranked 26.
This is the first time the Davao airport made it to the list while the airports in Cebu, Clark, and Iloilo all moved up in ranking. Cebu from rank 18, Clark from No. 24, and Iloilo from No. 21.
The site’s top 10 best airports in Asia are Singapore Changi (1st), Seoul Incheon (2nd), Tokyo Haneda (3rd), Taipei Taoyuan (4th), Osaka Kansai (5th), Hong Kong International Airport (6th), Kuala Lumpur (7th), Tokyo Narita (8th), Mumbai India (9th), and Nanjing Lukou in China (10th).
The Guide to Sleeping in Airports survey rates airports in Asia according to votes by tourists based on overall experience in terms of comfort (rest zones and gate seating), services, facilities and things to do, food options, immigration/security, customer service, and cleanliness.
However, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila is still included in the top 30 worst airports in Asia this year, ranking 8th in the list.
The results were based from a year-long online survey where travelers were asked which airports they like and don’t like to stay during delays or transits, or to sleep in overnight.
