Linkin Park Lead Singer Chester Bennington Dies of Suspected Suicide at 41

A day of mourning for Linkin Park fans as the lead vocalist of the group, Chester Bennington, was found dead in a private house in LA, yesterday at 9AM. The 41 year old singer took his life after apparently hanging himself according to the LA County Coroner.

Bennington triumphs and downfall

Chester Bennington will be remembered as a man with a very powerful anguish voice that paved way to the success of the group. The band marked their name on the history of music after they released their album “Hybrid Theory” way back year 2000. Linkin Park received a crossover success and smashing hits with two Grammy Awards. Bennington’s profound vocals leading the way, Linkin Park became unstoppable.

Nevertheless, the lead singer was also open about his dark past which includes being raped and abused at a young age and the divorce of his parents which escalated him to drug addiction.

Chester Bennington last performance

Earlier this year, Linkin Park releases their new album entitled “One More Light” and topped the Billboard chart. Just weeks ago, Bennington performed with his band at the Brixton Academy together with Stormzy.

Chester Bennington legacy will never be forgotten especially the people that had been moved by his music.
